@johnbrowne7188 it is really to early to criticise brexit. The process of recovering from the EU parasite infection will take time. The parasite is still keen on poisoning the UK for its removal.

@Armasnipe given the disproportionate size of the forces arrayed against Boris Johnson, it is reasonable to give him time. The UK was a member of the EU for forty plus years, it will take time to disentangle the UK from the web spun by the EU. The UK is less than one month into brexit and you expect forty years of EU involvement to be washed away over night. It's not as if the UK could have started during the past four years, bound as it was by EU rules up to the last minute.

@guleiro rejoin what??? Why would we want to throw ourselves back into the jaws of this parasite. It would be like signing up to join Putin's Russia or the growing Chinese empire. There is a deep circle in hell reserved for bureaucrats and the EU will dominate it. There is a good chance that in ten years time the EU will have torn itself apart or be involved in very destructive wars. The only thing that will save it is the glacier way which moves.

@Armasnipe you really are a glass half empty person, well maybe mostly empty. It will take time for the UK to recover. Difficult to inform shippers of the rules, when the rules were yet to be defined.

@redred7289 it is unlikely, any change in the Tory leadership is more likely to do with cutting workers rights and providing money for CEOs. It is far to early to judge the effects of brexit. Do you really think that four years of leaving is going to be unravelled in a short time by a leadership change? This is just a remainers dream.

@Armasnipe I think you forget that the pm was fighting a EU fifth column in the lords and in the commons. If the deal was bad, a lot can be blamed on the lack of a United front in the two houses. The EU were betting on the EU vested interests in the two houses being able to reverse brexit at the last minute. The EU took a long time to accept that brexit was going to happen. It would have been easier for the pm to untie the knots binding the UK to the EU, if it were not for those trying to stop him and those re-joining the bonds as fast as they were cut. A case in point is the treasonous withdrawal agreement that should never have been signed. But at the time the government was being held to ransom by remain elements in the commons. The problem being the fix term parliament act, that stopped the government calling an election to seek a mandate from the people. Maybe the UK should have revisited its decision to join the eu a couple of weeks after joining.

@Armasnipe you would have it that it's never the others fault. Do you know the definition of a critic. It was once said that it's the same as that of a eunuch in a harem. As they are there every night, seen it done every night, but completely incaperable of doing it themselves. More politely, hindsight is an exact science, and it is futile to make comparisons between apples and pears. The government has made a significant number of mistakes, and there will be an enquiry as to what they were and what can be learned from them. But you have an ulterior motive for this criticism, it relates to changing the government in the hope of reversing brexit. It's not going to happen. It is just as easy for me to attack the EU on the subject of covid and use that as a reason for not rejoining the block.

@Armasnipe It is very obvious that you are not from the UK. I cannot help you with your delusion that the EU will be good for your country. I must assume you must be starting from an extremely low base. Those wishing to join the EU now usually expect to be beneficaires from the EU budget. The EU operates as a pyramid selling scam, needing to recruit new members to keep the scam running. The problem for the EU is that it just can't get the quality of members it once did. If they let you in, you will be quickly disillusioned. If you are at war trying to get in, there is little chance you will, as the EU dies not need any more trouble. Your comments on UK membership, show you really have no idea about what you are talking about. The UK does not have to try and destroy the EU, it is in the process of doing that for its self. The people of the uk have repeatedly voted to leave the EU, it was only self interested positions in the UK parliament that attempted to thawth the will of the people.

@Armasnipe I well treat the EU as it deserves. It is a criminal organisation running a protection racket at best, at worst it is a predictor parasite that slowly consumes the member states, and the sooner it destroys itself the better.

@brigold3352 an ion is a charged atomic particle. I think you mean an eon, which is an exaggeration, given that is a period of one billion years. But should the UK take time to recover from EU membership, it just proves how damaging the EU is to the member states. So you have proved my point.

@brigold3352 would you like to explain why such poor countries joining the EU immediately became the third largest contributors to the EU budget? You also confuse the number of millionaires and billionaires living in a country with its wealth. There is little connection between the two, as is evident in many countries n the world. I would argue that the EU created an environment in the UK that allowed the UK government to behave as it did. You cannot blame only the Tories, as for much of the time the UK government was a labour administration. The EU runs a protection racket, that differs little from that run by other criminal organisations, it demands money with menace, and it takes what it wants. Example in point, our fish stocks. The EU also keeps its victims, member states trapped, with the threat of retribution if they dare to contemplate.leaving, a classic protection racket tactic. It will take time for the UK to recover from such abuse, like all victims of crime, the UK will take time to regain its confidence. Did you really think that it would bounce back in two weeks, from the damage done over forty years, particular in the middle of a global pandemic?

@Armasnipe so how is that block purchase of vaccine working for you. The EU was late to the market due to its dithering decision making, and now it is using its weight to push to the head of the queue. A pointless activity, as the manufacture has production problems, and cannot produce the numbers of the product required. It really is behaving like a petulant child who cannot get what it wants, hen it wants it.

@brigold3352 the EU did not find the UK, it simply gave back part of what we paid to the EU. Leaving the EU means leaving all its constructs, it the only way to be free of EU control. It's no use you hoping for a change of mind, the UK has left (escaped) the EU. Macron recently admitted that if the French people were given a referendum on EU membership, they would vote to leave too.
