  1. The eu is offering the uk access to the single market, provided it is willing to turn itself into a vassal state of the eu. It is effectively membership obeying the first rules but without any say. Is it any wonder the uk is rejecting this.

  2.  @MANODISNIPER  very simple,a state forced to follow EU laws and directives and subject to the jurisdiction of the ECJ above that of the uk highest courts. With the UK forced to give free access to EU fishing boats in uk coastal waters. So far wide ranging are EU directives, they would impact on all aspects of UK life, covering standards, environmental rules, trading law, taxation, and relations with other nations. None of this is acceptable for a sovereign independent state. This does not mean that uk standards need to be reduced, just different and in places higher than those in the EU.
