Comments by "Nigel Johnson" (@nigeljohnson9820) on "UK migrant deportations to Rwanda set to go ahead after NGOs lose legal challenge" video.
When you read illigal migration, why do you fail to understand the word "illigal". By definition, those arriving in the UK without permission are committing a crime under UK law. This is not the best recommendation for UK citizenship. Illigal migrants should in theory be immediately deported on arrival, but their is no mechnisim for returning them from wence they came, this arrival is considered a fait accompli by the migrant. The new deportation rules establishes a new deterrent against breaking the UK migration laws.

The purpose of the policy is to provide a deterrent to illigal migration to the UK. It is not intended for mass deportation, just to reduce the attraction of arriving in the UK iligally. Those economic migrants who arrive in the UK without permission, have committed a crime. So their deportation seems reasonable, while their case is considered. Until now there has been little, or no punishment for the crime. Far from weaking the policy, the UK should permanently deny UK citizenship to those who migrate to the UK without authorisation. The law is the law, and subject to punishment if flouted, just like all other laws. Only by removing the attraction of migrating to the UK, will trafficking across the English channel be stopped. At the moment arrival in the UK is seen as a fait accompli, with no effective legal redress.
