  1. The EU can't help trying to get involved in other countries business. The world should get use to this because once the EU has its own military it will want to impose its values on the rest of the world. I have no idea what the problem is in Nicaragua, but I can get it has nothing to do with the EU.

  2. Yojimbo Jay the EU is both fat and corrupt. It would not be getting involved if there was not something for the EU to gain. In this case the EU appears to be asserting its place on the world stage , wanted or not. It's an exercise of soft power.

  4. Santiago Gomez try googling " examples of EU corruption" and then tell me the EU is free of corruption. The list of dodgy deals and practices is endless. The EU facilitates corruption in member states. Everyone involved seems to have some scam to siphon off public money. Even the MEPs have their fingers in the petty cash. They have just voted not to make their expenses claims transparent and accountable.

The EU is empire building, why else would they be meddling in the affairs of a state so far away and to which they have no real relations. Give it a few years, when the EU has a military force and they will be sending in "peace keeping" forces.
