  1. The Russian invasion of Ukraine has show that peaceful neutrality is no protection from Russian invasion. Putin's war has had the opposite effect to Putin's stated goals for the war. In fact none of Putin's goals have been met. Not really surprising, when the real reason for the war was part of a plan to create a new Russian empire, along the lines of the old imperial tsarist Empire. But even in that Putin has failed. Russia is now an isolated, nasty little country, similar to North Korea. Putin may be able to destroy the world, but he cannot force the world to respect him or Russia, and at the moment the world wants nothing to do with either of them.
