He should look to the EU, as they will impose a hard border in Ireland. The UK and RoI have already said they have no intention of installing a hard border. When it come to the crunch, the EU will betray ireland.

@saigashotgun8219 there are approximately 4.8 million Irish people, the rest you are counting on really could not care less about Ireland unless they have something to gain.

@saigashotgun8219 I suggest you read Poland's comments about eu digital taxation today. It appears all is not sweetness and light in the EU. The proposed digital tax that Poland supports will have a big impact on Ireland's digital economy, so do not give me all this rubbish about EU unity. The EU s about as united as a bag full of ravenous rabid rats. On brexit the EU is united only because it sees a useful cashcow departing and most in the EU hate the British.

@anthonyburke3428 they are not supporting Ireland, they are using it to force the UK to remain in the customs union. As predicted, in the event of a no deal brexit, the EU will impose a border on Ireland. This is EU official policy, not sure where they intend to put the border.

@saigashotgun8219 the UK people are more certain what they want than the Westminster politicians. The latter are doing their best to squirm out of implementing the decision of the referendum result. We know the establishment supports the EU over the UK. Today one of our news papers highlighted that the UK government favours buying EU made steel over UK produced steel. Much of this points to the policy of co-dependence, binding the UK tighter into the EU. A Canada plus deal is really as close as we want or need to be.
