  2.  @Neojhun  I am not out of date, I am just acknowledging that battery energy density has yet a long way to go to match that of diesel or petrol. In 1970s terms these cars are running on zinc carbon cells not Li ion batteries. Until modern battery technology can match or exceed the power density of the older fuels it will remain a toy. It needs to be at least 12kWh per Kg and 8kWh per litre. That is not saying we do not need a replacement, global warming must be address quickly, but cars like this are not going to do it. It's a rich man's toy, put it back in the toy box.
