  1. The rail companies should be taken away from foreign ownership and put in trust, with a not for profit mandate to provide a high quality rail network. This removes the rail industry from government control and from profit seeking foreign ownership. It would not be surprising to discover that Russia agents are doing their best to make any strike action in the UK worse.
