  1. Without a coronavirus vaccine they will be holidays to die for. Literally, catch the virus and die a couple of weeks later. Flare up in the epidemic and spend weeks in isolation in your hotel.

  2.  RESIST  the UK has already spent millions flying back trapped tourists. Without a vaccine, a second wave of infection is expected. The UK will again be forced to fly back those forced into isolation or sick from the virus. If the 1918 flu epidemic is anything to go by,the second wave is likely to be worse than the first, as the virus will have had a chance to mutate. We already know that cruise liners and aeroplanes are an excellent way to ensure transmission of the infection. While the holiday industry might be keen to welcome back tourists, I expect that the locals will be less pleased to see a host of potential virus carriers back in their towns. To travel before a vaccine is developed would be like flying to Africa without receiving injections for the local diseases. It will be interesting to see how the travel insurance industry assesses the risks.
