Is there any wonder he liked Mrs May and her representatives, she just did exactly what the EU wanted. One might wonder for whom she was working, certainly not the interests of the UK. The UK will protect its internal market, a sentiment that the EU should understand. Unfortunately for the EU the current implication of the Irish protocol is incompatible with protecting the GFA. The republic of ireland has become nothing more than a puppet of the EU, and is now paying the price.

@miguelmelchior986 I have no interest in ireland, in fact I am in favour of reunification. It would shift the financial and political liability that NI represents on to the EU. (Given that the EU is really the government of the republic of Ireland). The Scots have already had a referendum, but like the EU, the SNP will only accept the result when it agrees with their policy. If Scotland wishes to leave the UK, I hope it has the funds to pay the divorce bill, and then to pay for its membership of the EU, in the very unlikely event that Scotland is allowed to join. Then it can look forward to being governed from Brussels, and surrendering any evolved powers back to the EU.

@mijicmugendo as you well know my opinion of the eu is shared with the Irish freedom party, who have demonstrated the cost to ireland of eu membership. I do no new to tell you this, as you have visited the channel. I am very happy for the 20 billion pounds a year that NI costs the rest of the uk to be transfered to the republic, and therefore the eu. I told you exactly what the consequences of the protocol would be, you just do not like my predictions coming true. Tell me how is ireland going to avoid implementing the eu corporate taxation policy. As I recall your posts to the Irish freedom party web site were not well received.

@mijicmugendo I never claimed that ireland was leaving the EU, though the eu is giving it increasing reason to do so. The Irish freedom party is campaigning for a reunified ireland, not exactly uk government policy. I warned you that the uk government would protect its internal market and would not respect the protocol, if it conflicted with that goal. Seems as if you are much happier that the EU is in control of the republic. The Irish government is attempting to opt out of the corporate tax agreement, but the eu has said that ireland will be "persuaded" to agree. So yes the Irish government will fold and be forced to comply, just as it did with the recovery fund contributions.

@miguelmelchior986 no actually it is under the control of another union, the EU, and it is costing the republic a lot, as the Irish freedom party as made clear in many of its YouTube videos.

@viquiben4919 what war like rhetoric? I dislike being called a liar by someone who has a very selective memory, and a poor grasp of reality, who is also cheerleader for the corrupt EU. It is not paranoia, if they really are out to get you, or at least your country, and that is certainly the case where the eu is concerned.
