This red line was set by Trump. He set this chaos in progress, when he agreed to withdraw us troops and set a deadline for doing so. The US failed to remove its weapons from Afghanistan, and now the Taliban are supplying them to the enemies of the US, and its allies. How long will it be before the US is forced to face its own weapons. The only positive from the US occupation of Afghanistan is that the people have experienced 20 years of freedom, something the Taliban may find difficult to erase from the Afghan group consciousness. The people now know that religious terror is wrong.

@ഉപ്പൻ there is little chance of imposing Islamic values on europe. It is likely that the Taliban state will not be recognised by the west, and the existing financial support will be withdrawn. That is 80% of the GDP. Russia and China are very weary of getting involved and will certainly not want to make up the 80% missing from the economy. It is telling that there is a complete lack of solidarity from other Islamic states.
