  1. Strange that anyone should want to commemorate a child's death by polluting the environment and killing wildlife. It won't be the child that will be remembered it will be the images of dying seabirds that the release of the balloons will conjure up. The death of such a young child is always tragic, but according to best medical advice published, he had no real chance of survival. These scenes of public grief seem self-indulgent and mawkish.
