  1. The world needs to cut the demand for the produced on the newly created farm land. If there is not a profit to be made in burning the amazon, then it won't happen. The problem is China that cares nothing about the environment. They even allow their fishing boats to fish on the edge of the world renowned Galapagos nature reserve. O China is unlikely to stop buying Brazilian palm oil.

  2.  @alex9920ro  not a good idea to confuse the motives of the Chinese government with that of the Chinese people. That said,the Chinese do exhibit some unpleasant cultural traits. I refer to their complete lack of compassion and empathy for other species, apparently regarding all of them as a source of food. A complete disregard for the environment or its value, as is evident by the huge Chinese fishing fleet, currently just in international waters outside the world renowned nature reserve of the Galapagos Islands. The Chinese attitude to the planet seems to be that its purpose is to serve the needs of the Chinese nation, with no regard to its finite nature. This is strange, as the Chinese government usually plan decades ahead. China will find it difficult to make a profit from a dead world.
