It appears that the EU is responding to the risk of a second UK referendum by changing its rules again. As the prospect of the UK remains looks more likely, the issue of punishing the UK for having the temerity to vote to leave is being suggested. This again simplifies the debate in the UK, making a second referendum less likely. Let's go back to article 50 cannot be revoked and the UK will leave with a no deal brexit, so much simpler, the snag is the EU wants its cake and eat it.
