Yet the world persists in allowing the process of globalisation which is responsible for so much environmental damage, using up natural resources at a super accelerated rate. The profit motive is the only reason why we transport so much over vast distances across the world. The money is made by manufacturing in corrupt, low wage economies with poor environmental protection laws and exporting to corrupt, hypocritical, decadent but rich western nations. The one thing that is claimed for globalisation which is definitely not true is that it leads to international cooperation in fighting environmental damage.
