@robertskolimowski7049 but I have. If the EU cuts funds to Poland, there will be little point in Poland being in the EU. How are judges to be held accountable? This is yet another example of the eu democratic deficit, since the law should be defined by the people, via a democratically elected government. Poland has the option to retaliate by applying its veto to any and all EU legislation. Should the EU attempt to withdraw Poland's veto, it would amount to a coup d'etat by the EU on all member states. Since the veto would become meaningless for all member states. In other words, the veto could not be used to oppose the will of the eu.

@miguelmelchior986 you are assuming that opinion will not be changed. If the benefits of EU membership disappear, then public opinion will rapidly change. The EU is not the master, it is the servant.
