@josedourado3747 not sure we can fiddle the fuel consumption figures like the Germans. The UK will concentrate on creating a new car industry based on green technology and we won't need to fiddle the emission figures to meet the standards. Noone with any sense will buy a EU made car now, unless they have money to burn. Hopefully UK tariffs on EU made cars and parts will be very high. This is necessary to reduce the UK trade deficit with the EU and rebalance the UK economy towards self sufficiency. It is a nonsense to have manufacturing supply chains stretched across Europe, if for no other reason than the transport costs, but mainly because it destroys local manufacturing and associate jobs. The reason for long supply chains is purely political. As it binds EU member states together.
