The illiberal undemocratic party is fascist in nature. This is not asking the UK people what they want, it is telling what they must have. Looking through the party manifesto, they are trying to make a virture out of wearing a hair shirt. They think by promising pain people will believe they are honest politicians, an oxymoron if ever there was one. I doubt if many will fall for this double bluff, except perhaps a few masochists. Maybe they think a nation high on cannabis will be so laid back as to not be bothered by this parties damaging policies.

@chaza1008 reasonable, if a little obvious, advice. Unfortunately with our political system most of the votes cast in a general election count for nothing. The result will be decided by the marginals. This would not be a problem if the fate of Brexit did not hang on the result. At best we get the tinkered withdrawal agreement of Mrs May, at worst we get an undemocratic revoking of article 50. If labour win we get a referendum vote with the options to Remain or remain. No mention of the fact that the UK votes to leave.

Jack W you are bring very selective with your numbers. You talk about a 4% majority and then talk of 48% remain voters. This certainly makes the figures look good at a glance, but if you are going to use the 48% who voted remain, you must also use the 52% that voted for leave. It is not just 4% of the population that voted for brexit, it is 52%. As for a plan, it could be argued that remain votes also lack a plan as to how the UK is going to afford to remain within the EU. The UK is to pay the EU membership fee, but more importantly it as a trade deficit with the EU of approximately £80 billion per year. How is the UK going to continue to fund that debt? There is no reason to believe that the situation is going to change if we remain within the EU. The accumulated debt is just going to continue to rise. I have not seen any remainer plan to solve this problem.
