This is serious , the EU has lost their chief negotiator, now they only have Barnier to force the Brexit deal through.

@DFandV she managed to turn negotiations about our future trade relationship with the EU, once we leave the EU, into negotiations of terms of surrender. Her negotiating style was incompetent. Her initial negotiating position was to give away all her cards. Without being asked, she agreed to pay the divorce blackmail bill and took no deal of the table. The EU must have thought all their Christmases and birthdays had come at once. To say she was a pushover assumes her starting position was standing, but she appeared to start on her hands and knees and slowly sink to a crawl, pleading with Barnier to accept her humble surrender on behalf of the UK. She then arrogantly signed the surrender document, her Brexit deal, without first checking that parliament would ratify it.

@DFandV Mrs May's Brexit deal is the worst option. Leaving without a deal is likely to be the UK's last chance to escape the EU parasite. A second referendum is the only democratic way to revoke article 50. However, a second referendum sets the precedence for a third, making a lie out of the first being the decision of a life time. If the polls for he EU parliamentary elections are proved correct, if the UK is forced to remain in the EU, it will be represented by mostly Eurosceptic MEPs. Until the next UK election, the EU is also likely to be facing a truly eurosceptic PM and government. If May's deal is not going to be approved, which seem unlikely, the choice is between leaving without a deal and remaining as a fully member. Given all the above, the latter will certainly not be welcomed by the French. Macron may decide that his best option is to force the UK to leave with no deal. It could be argued that it shows that France has power over the UK, even if in practice it means the French would be pushing the UK government in the direction it wants to go. It would certainly resolve the political deadlock in the UK parliament.
