  3.  Wolfgang Preier  so motorists from the RoI driving in NI are doing so without valid insurance and are therefore driving illegally on UK roads. In the event of an accident their insurance would be invalid and they would not be able to make any claims, and would also by subject to prosecution for driving without insurance.

  5.  Wolfgang Preier  it appears as if the EU is the one not honouring the GFA. Maybe the eu should install border posts to check the insurance documents of all those crossing from NI, so much for a border in the Irish sea.

  6.  Wolfgang Preier  but the EU is not standing aside, it is imposing a border pass, nothing to do with the uk. The people of northern Ireland will be required to buy additional documentation and produce it when traveling to the south. That's a border control measure between North and South. Now that is funny. I look forward to seeing what other border passes the EU will require. I don't think there will be much of a problem with UK fishing, as EU boats will be excluded from uk coastal waters, unlike Irish controlled waters that are being fished out by boats from other EU member states. As for air traffic, again you forget that the rules work both ways.
