  1. It can only get worse. The predictions of global warming is that the climate will oscillate between ever increasing weather extremes until it settles in a new stable state. The climates natural regulators are being pushed from being negative to positive feed back. The earth may have already passed the tipping point. While human activity triggered climate change, just like an avalanche, humans may now be unable to reverse the change and will be forced to live, or more likely die, with the consequences.
