There is a considerable amount of circumstantial evidence that Russia was responsible for the atteck and on the balance of probabilities Russia is guilty, however the evidence is only circumstantial not indisputable fact. The question is can we expect indisputable facts in this case? Those involved in espionage are very good at covering their tracks and have the support of a state. Russia is being held responsible with less proof than would be required for a criminal prosecution conviction. Is this lower threshold of proof sufficient? Who else has a motive as great as the Russians? The UK case will be water tight if and when those responsible for carrying out the attack have been identified and the delivery system explained. Given the nature of the poison used, the prognosis for the victims is not good, they may never be able to identify their attacker assuming they know who. Corbyn may be seeking a level proof that cannot be met in this case. This does not make him wrong, just a little naive.

  2. Question Mark this maybe true, but it could be because Russia is in fact guilty and are happy that they achieve what they wanted to. It could be they are innocent, but why then did they not pursue those who were really responsible? Maybe they are happy with the result, why else not try and identifying the true guilty party which would allow the Russians to claim the moral high ground and embarrass their accuses?

  3. Ugo Barbarino consider the reverse condition,. How do you think the Russian government would react if WMD was being used by a foreign power in Moscow. Suppose the US fired a space based laser and managed to assassinate some one on their hit list on a street in the Russian capital. I apologise for the sci fi scenario, but I need an exotic weapon that would produce a similar impact. The US might claim that it was not their satellite that fired the weapon, blaming maybe the Chinese. ( As to the comment about the hyesterical hooker, I bow to your expertise of the subject, as it is something outside my experience).
