Is this really a surprise. Bercow is an arch remainer who ensured that parliament was completely out of step with the people by doing all in his power to stop the UK leaving the EU.

@neunaame5272 I assume you are talking about the process by which the UK people were tricked into joining the EU. They were certainly lied to and manipulated in that process. Just as they are now, where their attempts to leave are being thwarted by a political class that tricked them into joining in the first place. If any one is racist it is the EU, that what the UK to grant people from the EU preferential rights to live in the UK.

@lewisnairn7409 no his choice of votes were biased towards the remain side. Parliament is subverting democracy by voting the wishes of the people as expressed in a referendum.

@lewisnairn7409 it is not a case of either or but both. There many areas of our political system that requires reform. The unelected feudal House of lords is indefensible. Since leaving office Bercow has admitted that he is a remain supporter. There is such a thing as passive bias. In the case of the media, it is exhibited by the stories that do not reach the news as much as the ones that do. Bercows choice of amendments elected for debate reflected a wish to advance the remain side. Parliament repeatedly voted to support the referendum result, but each time the UK came close to leaving, the MPs thwarted the move. The justification was there reinterpretation of the referendum result, arguing that the vote was for leaving with a deal. This is revisionism, since no such condition was associated with the referendum question asked.
