Not long ago they were pulling down statues to Marx. Given Orwell's views on Marx, it is not so surprising that the EU should be embarrassing his philosophy now. As Mr Juncker pointed out Marx's philosophy is offer interpreted in ways he did not intend. All are equal,( just some are more equal than others.). From each according to their abilities, to each according to their need, (just my needs are so much greater than yours).

Eric Van De Hey i agree with all of this. It also explains why the EU might wish to embrace it. Any have said that Orwell's animal farm was a parody of communism. I find it interesting how the leaders of socialist/communist states all ways adopt the mantra of "do as I say not as I do". The ruling elites like to live in luxury while telling the rest of the population that austerity is an economic necessity. This hypocrisy pervades the EU and many of the associate organisations.

Eric Van De Hey thinking about it, the main tenet Marc philosophy was bound to fail, as power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. When any from the proletariat attempt to replace the function of the bourgeoisie, they become the very thing they are replacing. As Orwell put it all animals are equal, just some are more equal than others. The globalist super rich elite are the new bourgeoisie, and I would be happy to see them put up against a wall facing a firing squad. Human nature being what it is, Marxism never really stood a chance as greed always takes control. It appears that scum always does float to the very top.
