  1. Wrong, it was just that Prigozhin did not want to risk a challenge to Putin until he was sure he could win. He was giving himself a way out. If there is any doubt, consider his comments on the justification for the war, he effectively called Putin a liar.

  2.  @Andrew-is7rs  I know, I predicted this rebellion a year ago. But that does not mean the Prigozhin is stupid. He was expecting more support that failed to materialise. If it had, he would have reached Moscow, and Putin would be dead or in exile. It was a power grab that failed. We now know that Putin will run away if he faces a credible challenge.

  3.  @Andrew-is7rs  and you are making the mistake that there is a distinction between the Russian military leadership and Putin. They are one in the same thing. The generals are just doing as they are told, they dare do nothing else. Putin has already gone back on his agreement with Prigozhin, in that he is not going to sack any of his generals. He needs them to take the blame when the war goes wrong. Progozhin only card is the money his group makes from fleecing African and middle eastern states.

  4.  @ljdashbg29  you have been lied to. Putin lied to justify the Ukraine war. Before the war no one was interested in Russia. Ukraine and NATO were not on the brink of attacking Russia. NATO was at the point of being disbanded. All this destruction is the result of one man's greed, Putin. The claim it is Russia against the West is a nonsense. It would be obvious if NATO was really involved, Russia is being beaten by the Ukrainian people, supplied with weapons from the West. You are a fool if you think otherwise. Even Progozhin admitted this in a recient video. Russia is built on its governments lies. Putin has not made Russia great, it has made it small, a Nazi state, emulating Hitler's Germany.
