@erketre according to the WHO over a million people died, and the figure is heading for two million, and these are conservative estimates. The virus is also linked to serious long-term health problems for people who catch it, no matter what their age.

Heather Larson he is in an impossible position regarding dealing with the virus. If he increases lockdown, he is killing the economy. If he releases lockdown, he is guilty of killing people. No matter what happens, no one knows what would happen if he did something different. His critics have the advantage of being responsible for nothing and have the advantage of hindsight, which is an exact science. If he follows their advice and it goes badly, they can say he did not act in time or not with sufficient intensity. If it goes well, the critics take the credit.
