Comments by "Nigel Johnson" (@nigeljohnson9820) on "Brexit regrets for UK fishermen as catch values halve due to border delays" video.
This is down to the EU trying to punish the UK. Maybe in five years time we should just exclude all EU fishing boats from UK waters, as we should have done in the first place.

@Håkan Bråkan Kråkan so let's make it reciprocal.

@rsrs8632 not true, the UK has waved such requirements for a few months. What the EU should be concerned about is the UK setting its own standards for the EU products to meet. Then the EU will be forced to perform UK compliance testing or not export to the UK. I can think of many areas where UK standards can diverge and be improved on those of the EU.

@Tybalt-si9wf its true I wanted WTO terms and still do, but that means no "level playing field" restrictions set by the EU. The trade deal is less biased than the withdrawal agreement but it is still one sided, in favour of the EU. The EU will discover the paper work, when the UK imposes the same trading restrictions as the EU. This will happen in a few months. The aim is to reduce imports to the UK to a trickle. This will allow the UK producers to fill the gap.

@Tybalt-si9wf it is you who are showing ignorance. I said that we will reduce imports FROM THE EU to a trickle. Are all EUphiles as stupid and arrogant as you? If so, the EU is doomed.

@rsrs8632 when did you stop beating your wife? See I can ask biased leading question too. Has it occured to you that the UK lost production jobs to cheap EU imports. I want them back. As cheap is a relative term, spending how you measure it. The goods may appear cheap to the consumer, but at the cost of UK jobs and the export of UK wealth to the EU, rather than keeping it in the local economy. One of the things the u market is useful to, is selling, it's not a place to buy, not if you want to maintain your production base. Unfortunately for EU members, they have no choice.
