If Hungary and Poland cannot access the funds from the EU, is there really any point in their continued membership. If access to Covid funds does not make these countries follow EU rules, the EU may decide to apply further pressure by making trade conditional on following the EU rules, then there will be no doubt that membership is no longer of value.

Márk Bányai I understand perfectly, I have been opposed to the EU for forty years. The EU has collected to its self all the regulating bodies, that were once international and had equal representation of all the world's governments. Now they are all EU organisations, where the EU makes the rules. It is a way of establishing global dominance by stealth. That is why the EU wants the UK to continue to follow its rules, post brexit. Shipping, air travel, chemicals, nuclear materials, fishing, environmental law, and qualification recognition, etc are all now controlled by the EU.

@monstertube1183 it will be interesting to see f this stands, or if the rules will be changed to majority voting. I can't see the Germans allowing the EU to be held to ransom by Hungary or Poland. It is what the Eurocrats wanted, it is a further move towards federalisation. It is the tyranny of the majority, where the good of the many outweigh the good of the few. The Eurocrats and federalists know that by changing who constitutes the minority, its possible to get almost any policy approved, particularly if the proposal is sweetened with an incentive to appeal to the many, such as free money.
