  3.  @toyotaprius79  not the EU backstop. The real backstop of a hard brexit is to make the Irish border problem an EU problem. Neither the RoI or the UK are going to willingly impose a border in Ireland, that leave it up to the EU to impose a border. Under these circumstances the EU will suddenly find technical solutions very attractive. The alternative is them imposing a border on the RoI or putting a border between the rest of the EU and Ireland.

  4.  @popelgruner595  what are they going to do? They have the choice of forcing the RoI to implement a border or put a border between Ireland and the rest of the EU. They could also impose additional border restrictions on the border between the EU and the UK. Such a move would certainly help reduce our £80 billion per annum total trade deficit with the EU. I have always thought that German cars are over priced style over substance, with the Japanese models being more reliable and as for French food and wine you can keep it. If climate change predictions are correct you won't be growing much in the near future.
