Could it be his reported substantial investment in the company that makes the drug has some influence on his CLAIM to be taking it. Since the drug has some legitimate medical applications, it is difficult to accuse the president of being a snake oil salesman, but there are similarities. One could just as easily claimed that aspirin is effective in stopping the virus. Given the tendency for covid 19 victims to suffer from blood clots, it would be even more reasonable.

@selfworm are you suggesting that there is no financial advantage to him by encouraging its consumption? If so it make him appear even more of a fool for taking a drug with no proven benefits in protection against Covid-19, and potentially dangerous side effects.
