It means it will be ten years too late to save the human race. Buying carbon credits for planted trees, sounds like a recipe for major corruption.

@tbxmxdog9187 self interest may yet save the planet. China wants to be around in 200 years. Countries with larger land masses are at great risk from climate change. It is simply a matter statistics and probability. If the Chinese government want to stay incharge they must address the problem. Unlike the USA, the Chinese government do not have their heads in the sand. They understand what is coming.

@tbxmxdog9187 they have a lot of coal and it takes time to change, but they know they are killing their own people with air pollution. Traditionally killing their own people has not been a problem for the Chinese government, they have so many, the none elite are considered expendable, however it is now a matter of bad business and that is not something the Chinese elite will tolerate.
