  1. It is ironic that Tesco has just announced its intention to close its online store, Tesco Direct, because it is not profitable and cannot be made so. Internet shopping is killing the high street shops. Soon the highstreet will only be used to sell perishable food products. A limitation of internet shopping is that the customer cannot view the physical product.
