I wonder which way Russia missiles in Turkey will be pointing, maybe towards the EU???

@mehmetyok8434 don't recall the US annexing any countries recently.

Brexit plea, maybe from Mrs May, not from the UK. The EU will be doing the UK a favour if they refuse a further delay. I will almost certainly guarantee that the UK will leave without a deal. If there is anything, it is a demand for the EU to refuse any further delay, else we will elect the most Eurosceptic UK MEPs.

@mehmetyok8434 no still don't see where the us has annexed any of these countries. When were they added to the states of America? I think you will find more Russians in Syria than Americans. As for Afghanistan, weren't the Russians ignominiously kick out of there?

@bca-biciclindcuaxel7527 that is a little pointless, it is the EU that is forming an army and is showing colonial ambitions. Since turkey was not permitted to join the EU it has turned and faced in the opposite direction. It was not so long ago that turkey was shooting down Russian fighter aircraft. I suppose the Russians will have better control if Turkey buys Russian rockets. It will be interesting to see if the US manages to expell Turkey from NATO. A few months ago there were indications that Erdogan wanted to make Turkey the more moderate, modern, leader of the Islamic world, replacing Saudi Arabia. Rather progressing in any particular direction, Turkey seem to spend its time spinning around, not being able to decide who it wants as friends or enemies. I suppose this is not surprising in middle Eastern politics, were the enemy of your enemy is not necessarily your friend.

@mehmetyok8434 I think you mean destabilising. The curious thing about us involvement is that it seems to cost the us far more than they gain. It could be argued that while these adventures cost the US treasury and tax payers huge amounts of money, private US companies, such as arms manufactures, make money. If this argument is correct, the process is a very inefficient way of moving US tax payer money into private hands.

@mehmetyok8434 the us political system is corrupt. I am happy to agree with that. What you may not agree with is that the EU is on a path to emulate it. At the same time you cannot claim that Russia or China for that matter are without fault. Putin's Russia is run like the Mafia. But that appears to apply to most of the big power blocks. They are run for the benefit of the few.
