  2.  @pierre976  its possible, but at the moment China and Russia seem the best of friends. They have the same moral values, or rather lack of them. Both are corrupt dictatorships. Could it be that Russia remembers the last time it signed up with the dictatorship next door, it did not go so well.

  3.  @reggiesmith3866  he's the saviour of Putin, not Russia. No one in the West is planning to invade Russia, there is nothing there we want. Anyway, all Russian money is stored in London banks. Russian oligarchs live in the London or the U.S, which say a lot about life in Russia. All this military posturing is for domestic consumption, and maybe for frighten off the Chinese Putin is the oligarch of oligarchs, so he is not going to save Russia from them.
