  1. The whole network should be renationalised and run by a non profit making trust. The railway should be run using UK manufactured trains, built using UK processed metals. Public utilities should not be owned or operated by foreign companies. This is not jingoism, it is a pragmatic requirement in improving the health of the UK economy. The UK cannot afford to delegate these functions to foreign companies, exporting the profits offshore. Its equivalent to saving money by getting a family member who is in the trade to do the work rather than employ a tradesman from the yellow pages. The UK must be more self sufficient after brexit.
