What else could poor bullied Switzerland do. It is surrounded by EU member states, it really has no choice but to become a vassal state of the EU. The EU uses free movement as part of its empire building.

Dixie interesting that you think that leaving the EU is losing, in fact it is regaining what the UK had for centuries before it was tricked into joining the EU, via the common market. Get out of our coastal waters.

@jh5kl Scotland is free, certainly more free than it would be insider the corrupt EU. It will end up giving all it's devolved powers back to Brussels.

@NoName-hg6cc the Scots have representation in the UK parliament, and we have had a number of Scottish PMs. Pity the poor English who have Scottish MPs voting on the fate of the UK population, while having their own rules made by the devolved Scottish parliament. Poor Switzerland has no representation in the EU, while still being forced to follow EU rules. The Scott's will soon discover the impact of EU control, if ever they manage to join the EU.

@NoName-hg6cc no it was given no option by the EU, jet as the EU is attempting to do to the UK. Scotland joined the UK because at the time it was broke, having a failed economy. Now it likes to play the victim. The devolved parliament has powers its government refuses to use. Many of the devolved powers, it will be forced to surrender to the EU, if they ever allow it to join. Like the RoI, it will be forced to give up its sovereignty, and pretend that's what it always wanted..

@NoName-hg6cc you really do have a warped view of reality. I think you will quickly find that the EU is not the utopia you think it is. Scotland will end up paying far more to the EU than it does the the UK, and will have very little say in the way it is run. The dilution of Scottish influence in a union of 27 rather than 4. Scotland will have lost its main market at the same time as being expected to contribute to the EU budget, recovery fund etc. You think you are controlled by the Westminster, wait until Brussels gets its claws into you. It will be the EU that controls Scottish finances.
