Anyone noticed how many Chinese agents are posting here? In some cases they are not very good, as the language gives them away. The uk has seriously embarrassed the Chinese government by giving Hong Kong citizens the right to become uk citizens. Every one who takes up this offer will be a loss of face for the Chinese government. It is a loss of skills and talent to China that can only boost the UK economy.

Rubbish, China is breaking an international agreement. It shows China is a weak totalitarian state, that must oppress its people to keep its corrupt leadership in power. By breaking this agreement, China brings into question its honour, and if it can be trusted to abide by any agreement it signs.

@two-gears8730 so you think the faults of one state excuse the actions of another. What you are arguing is the China administrations is no better than the US, run by Trump. Yes, that is probably true, but even the US has a lot to learn from China on the oppression of its people. It will be interesting to see what China does when Trump decides that the US does not owe China anything, and unilateral cancels its debt. It is said , there is no honour among rogues and thieves. The us will be able to justify its position as the application of sanctions, after all China is already embarrassed by being the source of the covid 19 virus, ostensibly because of poor food hygiene and a willingness to eat wild animals. Is that because the Chinese government can't feed its people?
