Rogue Male no I haven't, my amazement is reserved for a US presidents prepared to talk to NK. Maybe SK has convinced NK that no one is sufficiently interested them to bother to invade and they have been wasting money defending against something that will never happen. Basically the rest of the world had moved on from the Korean War and were happy to let's NK stew in its own paranoia and isolation. I can only assume Trump is willing to speak to Kim because his ego is so big he does not feel that the meeting might humiliate him. This may be a case of putting two huge negatives together (in the same room) and just maybe making something positive.

Rogue Male the only way NK and SK will reunite is with Kim in charge. Do the south Koreans really want this mass murdering homicidal maniac in charge of their country. The US and the rest of the world would be right to stop such a unification, just imagine what havoc Kim could inflect on the world given the resources of the rich and technically advanced SK. Such a deal would make the whole country a target for total destruction.

Rogue Male you imply they only want home grown dictators, Are you sure they want to emulate the poor situation of the citizens in NK. I doubt they will want to be ruled by the psychopathic Kim. As I said, the world would be forced to treat the whole of Korea as infected and sterilize it. Unification under Kim's control would make targeting far simpler.

Rogue Male no you are wrong, in the case of greatly increasing the power of the psychopath Kim, the world might consider it necessary to take action for the greater good. Even NK's traditional allies might wish to stop NK having access to SK money and technology. Regrettably the death toll would be greatly increased.

Rogue Male i don't think anyone would object if SK took control of the North, assuming Kim was removed from power and his iniquitous regime was destroyed. The us would then have no need to be in SK and would withdraw. You are so naive. Kim wants the US forces out of SK, so that his troops will have a relatively unopposed invasion of the south. The government the south will be promptly executed and Kim will take control of the SK economy. That will amount to interference in the affairs of SK, particularly when Kim starts executing any SK citizens that resist the change in government. If you do not understand this you are clearly not aware how Kim runs the North.
