Comments by "Nigel Johnson" (@nigeljohnson9820) on "Brussels available to 'clarify its position' on Brexit to new UK government, says spokeswoman" video.
The only error the UK made was joining the EU in the first place. The UK has the absolute right to leave the EU, its membership is a tiny fraction of its total history.

@bca-biciclindcuaxel7527 As I suspected you have very little understanding of self determination. Aren't you the one who wants the minority in Northern Ireland to determine the destiny of the majority. You will fit in well with the EU who have no concept of democracy.

@josedourado3747 judging by the protests and unrest in Europe it is not only the Brits who think the EU is a corrupt, self serving, undemocratic organisation, a large number of the EU population agree.

@Frankly Frank fed the uk, you mean robbed the UK.

@bca-biciclindcuaxel7527 the UK exercised its right to leave the EU. It is the EU that is doing its very best to make that as difficult as possible.

@Frankly Frank the brexit referendum was based on one person one vote across the whole of the UK. It is a nationalists view to divide this vote into regions/states within the UK.

@Frankly Frank as opposed by the uneducated, deluded, indoctrinated europhiles who blindly believe that the EU is not an undemocratic, fascist plutocracy, engineered to make the very rich few even richer. A globalist microcosm that damages the environment by insisting that manufacturing supply chains are spread across the continent.

A big hole in the EU market border in Ireland should concentrate the minds of the EU. If the UK leaves without a deal. There will not be a backstop, difficult to see why the EU fails to understand that. The EU is holding on to the vain hope that treasonous members of parliament will seize control of the government in what is effectively a coup d'etat, and then revoke article 50 without the approval of the UK people. At this late stage, leaving without a deal is far more likely.

@Vonka .- as opposed to a country in a debt spiral, with a £80 billion trade deficit with the EU. You are deluded if you think the UK was doing well in the EU. The status quo is not an option.

@amigaamigo5307 you are correct that they will try and stop us leaving. What might change the situation is that the EU do not want us to remain as a full member and the existing exit document is a treasonous betrayal of the UK, which even the most ardent remainer finds difficult to support. Should parliament, in a moment of madness, decide to ratify it they will be punished by the consequences and may even spark a revolution. Certainly the backlash, once the meaning starts to be felt by the electorate will be to bring back brexit with a vengeance, it might even make a Farage government possible.

@amigaamigo5307 it is the bank of England that is allowing the pound to fall by not raising interest rates. The euro is unstable as it is not controlled by a federal government. The euro zone banks, particularly the German ones, are sitting a mountain of bad debt, a legacy of the last financial crash. The next crash that is brewing in the US will destroy the euro zone economy as it is already following the US example of lowering interest rates to negative values. if the BofE did what is needed and raised interest rates, it would have some to go when the crash hits. It would also go some way to protecting UK companies from hostile takeovers by private equity companies. A better solution would be to outlaw the practice of allowing vulture venture capital companies from buying companies and then loading them up with the cost of the purchase while asset stripping them. Something the UK should do as soon as it is outside EU control.

@Frankly Frank the people of Europe may have a greater number of elections, but do you really believe they have more power? Judging by the number of protests happening across the EU, they seem to disagree with you. You are just spouting EU propaganda.
2
@josedourado3747 the arrogance of EU europhiles is breath taking claiming the EU is democratic and free of corruption is like claiming that the mafia is just a philanthropic organisation that takes from the poor to give to the rich.
2
@xste d yes, which will make them a lot less competitive with locally produced products or those brought outside the EU. The former should encourage local production and discourage imports from the EU. Just what the UK economy needs to rebalance it in favour of manufacturing and production.

DML1888 I do not disagree that the UK establishment is corrupt. That is one of the reasons the UK joined the EU and colluded with it for so long. It is all about the vested self interest of the rich and powerful. The EU establishment is just as corrupt as the British establishment. It is certainly no more transparent. It uses the interests of the many to oppress the few. With so many people and states involved, it is always possible to select a majority view to outweigh those of the few, and in this case a few can be a whole country or state.
