Comments by "Nigel Johnson" (@nigeljohnson9820) on "'Gilets jaunes': protests continue in France despite government's fuel tax climbdown" video.
The government has done too little too late to stop the protesting broadening to encompass more government policies that the french population resent. The French government is implementing the policies of the EU. Like all governments it is using a stick rather than a carrot to change social behaviour. In other circumstances a reduction of the use of carbon fuels would be seen as a good and vital policy, however the French government is not only trying to change the behaviour of the population, but also raise money through a punitive increase in taxation. Now resentment built up in other areas are coming to the surface. The government will now reap what it is sown.

@Mr_Contract________x the globalists have under estimated the dangers of migration. The idea is to dilute the national culture of member states to make a homogeneous monoculture more amenable to being a mobile work force. It has been repeatedly demonstrated that cultural hybridisation does not work. Multiculturalism tend to create a ghetto culture. Worse still for stable western democracies, at least some of the migrants come from dictatorial theocracies who abhors democracy and wish to destroy it. There are also migrants who come from broken countries and played a part in breaking them. In comparison to the placid Western population, some migrants come from countries were violent revolution against the prevailing government is common place. Their radical beliefs and politics will destabilise the west and plunge it into the same chaos to be found in the middle East and Africa. Those expecting to make money out of migration or swamp national loyalty with a new loyalty to the emerging super state are likely to be disappointed with the result. It is far more likely it will fracture the politics of the continent and see a rise of extreme left and right wing groups in a backlash response.

@liufrank1497 this appears to be a modern version of the French Revolution. The reasons seem very similar, with a wealth elite few lording it over the poor majority. Macron might hope this Revolution does not emulate the barbaric solutions of the last one or he may be concerned about losing his head. Macron is really obeying the orders of the EU elite who are implementing the globalist policies. The controlling elite may have discovered that they are moving too quickly, they will back off and delay implementing their policies, but they will not give up, they will just try at a later date, maybe after other measures have softened the will of the people.
