@momissimo4087 what our government wants and what is good for the country only occasionally coincide. The UK economy is in desperate need of rebalancing so that the UK is not just a nation of consumers. Post brexit the government will be forced to make the necessary adjustments as EU imports will become more expensive and the trade deficit with the EU falls. Not sure why you think it funny that the UK will be importing far less from the EU.

If UK imports become expensive again, maybe the UK can revive it's flower growing industry that was once very strong. Over the last thirty years the UK industry has almost completely disappeared. The biggest problem is that the farmland that was once dedicated to growing flowers in he UK is now under concrete and part of some poor quality housing estate.

@momissimo4087 in the long term after the effects of the EU parasite infection has been removed, the UK can do well, but a lot depends on how the UK government deals with post brexit UK. Some things are worth more than money. Like all those who advocate remain, no attention is being given to the future of the EU or the UK within it. Remain is not an option as the UK cannot afford it.
