An interesting proof of the war economy was a photo that I saw years ago and don't remember where. There were two old German made toy trucks. Exactly the same model in cast metal. The one example still looked beautiful, as it had been made well before the war. The other was cracked and had rotten tires because it had been made under the war economy with inferior materials. They had been using the best material for war production, yet trying to continue with the civilian amenities as though the war was not going to cost the people their comforts. Love your videos.
