Paine wisely said that government is a necessary evil. The American founders tried to create a government form that defined the limits of what the government could do. Today it has grown well beyond the legal limits. They had a good understanding of the idea, so it was up to us to follow their wisdom. The trouble with any system is that it must be populated and run by human beings. The best we have so far is the system that is not a system, which is free market capitalism. It requires the rule of law and allows for personal sovereignty.
