  1. Depends on where you live. Here in Ontario Canada, I only pay 2.8 cents / kwh overnight. Charging at night literally means the cost of driving is 1/20 of cost of gasoline. And no the insurance is about the same as gas car, depending on which EV you have. Tesla cost more in insurance, but I have a Volvo EV. As for depreciation, I don't care as I lease it.

  7. Repair cost is a valid point, but has more to do with the current fashion trend with EV design, than the actualy EVs themselves. In theory, EVs can be made more repairable without having to replace the whole battery pack or motor.
