  1. Unreliability is part of growing pain. Electric buses have been operating reliably in China for quite some time now. It's relatively new in North America, it's fault of manufacturer not the problem with EV buses and chargers themselves. Also there is nothing wrong with using fuel based heater in extreme cold weather. The amount of fuel used for heating is about 1/20 of that is needed for kenetic energy to move the buses, far reducing the emission and extend battery range for the bus (so that batteries do not need to be used to produce heat). Also, heaters do not need to be used in warmer months. In the future, biodiesel can be used to further improve sustainability.
