  1. Battery safety is being improved significantly in China though. A lot of these fires are from older generation battery tech. and lower end brands. Most major high end brands are pretty safe and fires are rare, with BYD being the exception it seems. The current generation of EV batteries from major Chinese companies all have fire resistance up to 1000C, and penetrative protection.
