  2. Fire safety is improving fast though. CATL and Zeekr batteries are already virtually fire proof and will not ignite even if damaged or under 1000 degree of heat. They are still new and limited to only top tier Chinese EVs, but they will no doubt become widely adopted and prices will come down in a couple of years. EV fires for parked vehicles are already less likely than ICE cars, and will be even more rare in near future.
