Gold's value has nothing to do with its industrial use but more to do with its rarity. But gold has unlimited theoretical supply whereas bitcoin supply is fixed

@theastralbard8280 of course it can. It's just not practical for micro payments. If you buy a car or house with Bitcoin I doubt anyone would turn you down.
