  2. @scpatl4now  everyone does it. Americans did to Britain. Japan did it to the US. Koreans did to Japan. Any up coming country which needs to catch up has to adopt and learn from the leaders.

  3.  @doujinflip  because America already has most of the leading technology it has no incentive to copy from other countries. But it did during the war of independence. It surely copied lots of military technology from the Brits and Europeana and added its own modifications and improvements. The first rockets were built by Germans. The first radars by England.. Americans got all these advanced technologies after the war and vastly improved on them. Sure China is standing on shoulders of giants. But so did we all.

  4. It's used to be that case that China copy and paste Western technologies. It's different now, they are actually innovating and creating new patents.

  8. No they will fail. A country dependent on agriculture and natural resources will never thirve. It doesn't have industrious and skilled workforce unlike China, Japan, South Korea, and some European countries. Changing government policies will simply push one problem to another. Fool's errands. Also by choosing the US over China it's even more dumb, as the US is declining power and China is the rising one. US will only provide fiat dollars backed by its aging military, while China is the true economic and manufacturing hub of the world.
