  1. No they will fail. A country dependent on agriculture and natural resources will never thirve. It doesn't have industrious and skilled workforce unlike China, Japan, South Korea, and some European countries. Changing government policies will simply push one problem to another. Fool's errands. Also by choosing the US over China it's even more dumb, as the US is declining power and China is the rising one. US will only provide fiat dollars backed by its aging military, while China is the true economic and manufacturing hub of the world.
